The GTL LT-492 is a complete blade-swap service kit designed for locksmiths who regularly service flip keys and remote head keys. The kit bundles five packs of spiral (roll) pins in the most common sizes alongside three GTL shell openers — everything you need to cleanly open a shell and replace a worn or damaged blade without hunting around for the right size pin.
Spiral pins feed and seat using a corkscrew action, holding the blade securely in the key body without distorting the housing. Pair with GTL shell openers to separate clamshell housings cleanly — no scratched cases, no bent tabs.
